Mesa connects growers and winemakers with people who like to drink wine. Born from the idea that sitting around the table over a glass or two can bring us together in shared appreciation of good things and good ideas, Mesa is an importer and distributor of well-made wines that become a conduit for conservation; an accompaniment for a laidback lifestyle of care and appreciation. Mesa Wine imports and distributes natural wine from Australia, France, Italy, Spain and Japan. Mesa also provides educational and entertaining tastings for both industry and drinkers. Mesa owner Thomas Van Beem has a passion for regenerative farming and the stories of artisan producers. He is a hospitality and natural wine professional who’s made and served wine across Australia and Europe, currently living and working in Perth, Western Australia.

With the rising interest in natural wine has come a rise in misinformation about what it really is. Mesa believes industry professionals have a responsibility to understand the difference between natural, low intervention and conventional wine, to help the public make informed decisions about what they drink.

Our mission is to educate and empower industry workers to distinguish natural wines from others. Mesa’s educative tastings give people the ability and confidence to talk about natural winemaking and the resulting wines in a way that excites and informs drinkers. No pretence or snobbery - just the facts and the amazing human stories behind the bottles.
